Saving Specifications Documents

Always save your specifications to the appropriate location as soon as you have completed the Specifications Wizard. If you plan to reuse the exact specifications for future projects, you can save the spec book as a document template.

Save the specifications

  1. In the document, go to File > Save As. The Save Document window will open.

  2. The default location for the document will be the folder for the Project you selected in the Document Management Wizard. If you select another Project in the Save Document window's Folder tree, the document will reflect the new project's information.

  3. A default name will be appear in the File Name box. Change this by typing a new name, if desired.

  4. Click Save. A copy of the specifications for the current project will be saved, and the master specifications template will still be available for future projects.
