Accessing ConstructionSuite Updates

UDA Technologies will periodically release updates for your ConstructionSuite software. These updates may include issue resolutions, new features, or cost updates.

Your system will perform an automatic check for updates each time you open ConstructionSuite if you are connected to the internet. You can also manually check for updates at any time.

NOTE: You must be connected to the internet to check for and download ConstructionSuite updates.

Manually check for updates

  1. Open ConstructionSuite by clicking the desktop icon or by going to  Start > Programs > UDA Technologies > UDA ConstructionSuite 2007.

  2. Click on Help > Check for Updates on the main interface. The system will scan for updates.

  3. If updates are available, click Yes to begin the download.

  4. Follow the instructions below to download and install the updates.

IMPORTANT: Close all other applications before beginning the download and installation process.

Download and install ConstructionSuite updates

  1. The Update Process is divided into two parts: Downloading Updates and Installing Updates.

  2. If you receive a message indicating available updates when you open ConstructionSuite, click Install Now to begin the update process. The Update Download window will appear.

  3. Once the download has completed, the progress bar will stop moving (at approximately 50%).

  4. Before you proceed with the installation, close all Microsoft Office programs. Be sure to save any work before closing them. You will be prompted during the update installation if there are any programs running that will interfere with the update.

  5. Click the Install button at the bottom of the window to continue the update process.

  6. A window will appear indicating that ConstructionSuite needs to close to proceed with the installation. If any other programs are running that may interfere with the process, they will also be listed in the window. Close these programs to continue the installation.

WARNING: If you click the Close Programs button on the notification window, the programs will close automatically, and any unsaved information will be lost. Please make sure to save and close the programs yourself before continuing the update.  

  1. Click OK to close the update window when the process is finished.
