ConstructionSuite utilizes an advanced system that can automatically email reminders to your contacts and project resources. To take advantage of this feature, you must have Reminders set for either Activities in ConstructionNet or Subtasks in a Project Schedule, and you must have selected to send an email reminder to the contact. To learn more about using reminders, see either Setting Reminders in Scheduling or Using Activity Reminders.
To utilize this feature, you must have access to the SMTP Server information for your email. If you use Microsoft Outlook for your email client, follow the instructions below to access your SMTP Server information.
Open ConstructionSuite by clicking the desktop icon or by going to Start > Programs > UDA Technologies > UDA ConstructionSuite 2007.
On the main interface, click Tools > Options > Email Options.
Type your email address.
Enter your SMTP Server information.
If your email requires authentication,check the box next to Needs Authentication.
Click Send Test Email to test the email setup. After you click on this button, you will be prompted to enter an email address to send the test email to.
Click OK.
Open Outlook.
Go to Tools > Accounts.
Click on the Mail tab.
Double-click on a name in the list.
Click the Servers tab.
Highlight and copy the information in the Outgoing Mail (SMTP) field.
Paste the information into the SMTP Server field in the ConstructionSuite Email Options tab.
Close the Outlook Email Accounts window by clicking Cancel.
Open Outlook.
Go to Tools > Email Accounts.
Under the Email heading, select View or change existing email accounts.
Click Next.
Double-click on a name in the accounts list.
Highlight and copy the information in the Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) field.
Paste the information into the SMTP Server field in the ConstructionSuite Email Options tab.
Close the Outlook Email Accounts window by clicking Cancel.
