UDA Envoy™ - The Freedom to Work Anywhere
Envoy is a revolutionary new device that can extend ConstructionSuite to multiple computers. Coupled with new UDA Portable Database Technology, Envoy was designed for clients that need to be able to work anywhere, the office, jobsite, or home. Envoy works seamlessly with ConstructionSuite 2010 to add convenience and flexibility to your daily schedule, and is now available in 8 GB and 16 GB versions.
Using Envoy for the first time:
Upon receiving, remove the UDA Envoy from it's protective case. At about the size of credit card, the Envoy can easily and conveniently fit in your pocket or wallet. With it's shape, the part of the device that plugs into your USB drive, will need to slide out in order to fit into your USB drive. Click here for more information.
Plug the envoy into your USB drive on your computer.
The UDA Devices prompt will automatically open up, providing you with your Envoy ID, state, and space availability. To get started, you must first pair your Envoy with your primary ConstructionSuite computer. Click Pair to begin the pairing process. If you are positive this is the ConstrutionSuite you would like to pair your Envoy with, click Yes when prompted. Please wait during the pairing process.
When complete, you will be prompted to restart your ConstructionSuite. Click OK and then open your ConstructionSuite system by going to Start > Programs > UDA Technologies > UDA ConstructionSuite 2011.
Now that your Envoy has been paired with ConstructionSuite, you will need to have the Envoy plugged in when ConstructionSuite is open. Each time you ConstructionSuite from this point forward, you'll notice your Envoy Status information in the bottom left SuiteLink under the Devices tab.
& NOTE: Before you remove the UDA Envoy, please press the Eject button in the bottom left devices tab.
UDA Echo™ - The Confidence of Effortless Backup
Echo provides seamless portable data backup for ConstructionSuite. Powered by new UDA Portable Database Technology, Echo was designed for clients that need the confidence of simple and secure backups. Echo works seamlessly with ConstructionSuite 2010 to add confidence to your critical project data.
Using Echo for the first time:
Upon receiving, remove the UDA Echo from it's protective case. With it's shape, the part of the device that plugs into your USB drive will need to slide out in order to fit into your USB drive. Click here for more information.
Plug the Echo into your USB drive on your computer.
A prompt will automatically open up, asking Would you like to backup to UDA Echo now?. To continue completing a backup, click Yes. If you would like to check your Echo ID, Space, History, etc, click No.
To open UDA Echo after the initial prompt, single-click the Echo in the bottom left Devices tab. The UDA Devices prompt will open up, providing you with your Echo ID, space, and history.
The Echo Usage tab will show you the Echo ID, Most Recent Backup, Echo Total Space, Echo Remaining Space, and allow you to start a Backup or Eject the Echo.
The History tab will show you the available backups that are currently on the UDA Echo. To create a backup from the History tab, click the [add button] or the [backup button]. Click the [delete button] to delete a current backup. Click the [restore button] to restore the selected backup.
You also have the ability to create automatic backups that auto-save to UDA Echo. For more information, click here.
