UDA Technologies announces integration of its new project management system, UDA ConstructionSuite 2007, with Envisioneer, the award-winning design software from Cadsoft. Available in Premier versions and above of ConstructionSuite, the new integration streamlines the process of turning take-offs into comprehensive estimates.
For construction professionals, performing manual take-offs from plans consumes valuable time and can be a very tedious process. But with the Envisioneer integration, users of ConstructionSuite and Envisioneer will be able to dramatically reduce time spent doing take-offs.
Daniel Hayden, Director of Product Development at UDA Technologies, believes the new functionality will greatly enhance users' experiences. "We're very excited about this new feature. Because of it, our customers will be able to save time and substantially reduce errors during the take-off phase."
"At UDA, we've always been driven by the desire to lower the costs of construction by saving our clients noticeable time throughout the building cycle, and this integration offers one more avenue through which we can accomplish that goal."
More than at any point in the past, construction professionals are realizing the value of implementing technology in their businesses, but the sheer number of tasks that need to be automated has led some businesses to leverage too many programs that aren't compatible.
According to Hayden, the key to using technology effectively is to integrate as many systems as possible. "Before the new compatibility with Envisioneer, ConstructionSuite already delivered the most robust project management systems on the market for construction."
"We're enabling users to implement best-of-class systems for each of the major phases in the building cycle - Envisioneer for design, ConstructionSuite for project management, and QuickBooks for accounting," said Hayden. "Now users can go from design to paying subs and suppliers without having to double- or triple-enter their numbers."
From the rendering in Envisioneer, users can create a bill of materials and then easily import it into the ConstructionSuite system for a detailed breakdown of quantities, units, and costs. Then, users can take advantage of professional-grade project management that integrates Estimates, Schedules, Contracts, and more before taking advantage of UDA QuickBooks Integration to create a chart of accounts, invoices, purchase orders, and budgets.
And, with the addition of the breakthrough technology of ConstructionNet CRM in the ConstructionSuite system, users can now leverage a dual contact and project management database to create connections across all of their files.
"This new integration with Cadsoft Envisioneer further solidifies our position as a leader in construction technology solutions," said Hayden. "No other software system on the market today offers the depth of features and array of integrations available in the ConstructionSuite system."
As the UDA Technologies client base of over 20,000 new users worldwide continues to expand, the company remains focused on re-envisioning what software can do to meet their diverse and growing needs.
